The wait is over! The Granite backup features have been selected and I’m ready to reveal which stories I am choosing from a talented bunch of writers. It wasn’t easy to decide which tales I wanted, as there truly were some great stories submitted to me for consideration. 47 stories in all, which became 20, which became 16 (because I couldn’t easily eliminate more than that haha), which eventually became 10 and so on. For those selected, not only did I consider the strength of the story itself, but also how well the work would pair with the other stories chosen. People who submitted scripts obviously got a little more consideration when I was stuck between a few stories, as I had more to go on then. I do view the extra work put in as a great tie breaker when I’m stuck.
The stories were so good in fact that I decided to create a runner up category for stories I simply couldn’t go without, and want to produce, but at a later date. Runner ups will be made an offer to have their stories purchased as well, but with the understanding that they won’t be published until a later date. The official selections will move onto the art phase as quickly as artists can be chosen.
Official selections:
‘Party Island Chaos’ by José Cardenas
‘Monster-Sized Thirst’ by Jimmy Gaspero
‘Granite vs. The Psychic Stylist’ by Joseph Jasionowski
Runner up stories:
‘The Leap’ by Frank Martin
‘Granite vs. Concrete’ by Santiago Mayaud
‘Ale is Well’ by Alexa Wilkerson
A sincere thank you to everyone who submitted! It was a sheer joy to read these stories while I recover from shoulder surgery, as I am running out of TV to watch. For those who weren’t selected, chin up, barely any stories were horrible, and many were very good, which I knew would be the case. The amount of talent in comics is apparent, so keep at it, keep honing your craft, and keep writing…you’re better than you give yourself credit for. I do plan to run another writing competition at a later date, and I have every intent to return to Granite again and again, so I encourage you to resubmit when submissions open again. You may even resubmit your old story, with or without edits, up to you. Thanks again :)
Let’s chat some projects.
Inferna continues.
Working on getting my substack exclusive comic off the ground this year. I’m terribly behind on writing due to my shoulder injury, but Inferna is a top priority for 2025! I really believe you can tell captivating stories through an erotic lens, and that’s what I am to do.
ID trade update.
As I said last time, Interstellar Dust volume 3 is still being worked on, but the trade collection of volumes 1 and 2 will be here much sooner! At long last, a collection of the greatest prison break tale the universe has ever seen. Here is more work in progress from Moy on wrap around hardcover collection.

What else?
Updates on a few other things:
Gridlocked: Torque is scripted and off to my editor for review. I’m sure I’ll have edits…I always do.
Intergalactic Academy will be on hiatus for a few months as Ad Astra looks to plan their summer release schedule. Hoping to make a comeback as soon as we can, as the current arc has been a lot of fun. Read it now at Intergalactic Academy
Follow How to die in the Quad if you’re looking for more comics from me, as I have a short story in this really gorgeous looking book.
Interstellar Dust vol. 3 is still on the way, but with Moy working at DC as well that means some things are delayed, but that’s ok, ID is always worth the wait.
Bearer of Ages issue 1 is being remastered with a new colorist and will then be re-lettered too. Issues 2 and 3 are drawn but will also need to be colored. Thinking we can get back to BoA in 2025 for sure.
I have the next arc of Granite plotted, but now I need to get to work on scripting it. That should happen after I wrap up these other commitments.
Big Hunters of the Outer Realm update coming soon! I’m about ready to move into prelaunch mode.
Become a paid Substack subscriber!
Becoming a paid sub means you get first look access to artwork, scripts and tons of behind-the-scenes content that no one else gets to see (including the teases I share here). Hundreds of pages of artwork including NSFW interiors and covers will keep your eyes peeled open for hours and everything is always available for download :)
And a new bonus! Beginning January 1st, 2025, all paid Substack subscribers will get a special free physical copy of any of my new single-issue series released and funded through Kickstarter (or other crowdfunding site). This would be a paid tier Substack subscriber only variant, and unavailable through crowdfunding, my online store, or con exclusives. Basically, fully unique to those on Substack.
Shipping is available anywhere in the world but would not be included for free. I will ask you if you would like your incentive cover before shipping (it will also be available digitally) and will send you a PayPal invoice for shipping costs. Rates for 2025 will be as follows:
USA: $5.00 USD
Canada: $20.00 USD
All other countries: $25.00 USD
If you opt to support the Kickstarter campaign at any tier level, your Substack incentive cover would just be included with your standard order, and you would not be charged extra shipping, as you would already be paying it via the crowdfunding platform.
Please note this is for my own crowdfunded comics only, not comics that may be exclusive to the direct market, and not those comics that I did not crowdfund myself (such as Vigia, Lycan or the Cauldron, which have their own specific publishing deals).
You must be on the annual membership at the time the comic is successfully crowdfunded to receive your free comic. Monthly memberships are not eligible because they could just cancel right after they receive their rewards. The annual membership is actually much more cost effective, only $40 per year compared to the monthly membership which comes out to be $48 annually.
I will always note comics that are eligible rewards for paid subscribers. The first comic that will be eligible for this offering will be Hunters of the Outer Realm Issue #1, and the collected edition of Interstellar Dust which will be released in 2025.
